PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

While I do my best I cannot guarantee that the colours shown on the website exactly reproduce the colours of the products. This may depend on the colour reproduction on your computer or mobile device.

All the leather comes from Europe. I mainly use vegetable tanned full grain leather. Vegetable tanned means that the skin is natural and has an open structure. It is one of the most eco-friendly ways of tanning because it has no synthetic top finish and there are no chemicals used during the tanning process. It’s color can alter when exposed to sunlight. No vegetable tanned leather skin is the same. Vegetable tanned leather will not stay flawless and smooth, scratching will occur and irregularity in color and texture are inherent to the leather. These characteristics can not be seen as a fault, but make it an unique product. This premium quality leather will age beautifully over time.

PRODUCT CARE

Please note that vegetable tanned leather has an open structure and will change color when exposed to sunlight. Dutchiz products can be worn during rain and a swim. However if you want the collar the remain spot free, we suggest you avoid water. 

It’s important to treat full grain leather with leather conditioner at least once a year. Leather moisturizer will avoid the leather from drying out and will keep the skin supple.

When wet please dry naturally. Do not dry with a blowdryer or heater.

You can use your collars or leash every day to the fullest. If treated with care your collar will age beautifully.

For general maintenance use leather products available at different stores nearby.

MADE TO ORDER

The dog collars and leashes are made to order. You will find examples and models on our website and social media.

Delivery time is mostly between two to 5 weeks. You will be informed about the expected delivery date, if any delay occurs you will be informed as soon as possible.

RIGHTS

The Agreement between the Buyer and the Seller is governed by Dutch law.

Dutchiz is not liable for any costs incurred or damage sustained directly or indirectly in connection to our website or the use of our products. Dutchiz is not liable for any indirect, additional or consequential damage, of any kind whatsoever, that the buyer sustains in connection with the agreement/purchase. Under no circumstances will any direct damage, for which the seller/Dutchiz is legally liable towards the buyer, exceed the purchase price. 

Dutchiz reserves the right to reject any order you place for any reason. For example, Dutchiz may reject your order there is indication that you intend to resell some or all of the products specified in your order as a part of a commercial business. You may only place orders via for private and domestic purposes. Dutchiz only works with carefully selected dealers.

Dutchiz expressly prohibits purchases for resale and/or reselling any Dutchiz product as part of any business (including any on-line business) unless agreed in writing by Dutchiz.

You may link to the Dutchiz home page, provided you do so in a way that is fair and legal and does not damage our reputation or take advantage of it, but you must not establish a link in such a way as to suggest any form of association, approval or endorsement on our part where none exists.

DELIVERY CHARGES

The delivery charge does not include any applicable importation charges, taxes and duties by customs in the country where the order is to be delivered. You are responsible for such taxes and duties.

Dutchiz may occasionally provide special offers and promotions waiving delivery charges in certain circumstances. Dutchiz reserves the right to vary, cancel or extend special offers and promotions regarding delivery charges.

BESPOKE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

ORDERING

Bespoke products will be made specifically to your order in accordance to the exact customer specifications as noted in email correspondence. It is the responsibility of the customer to check all the details of the order are correct and suitable for their requirements, including sizes, embellishment, colours, payment, production, lead-time and delivery timeframes.

LEAD TIMES

Dutchiz' standard lead-times are approximately 5 weeks.

In the circumstance that an order is ready early, Dutchiz will contact the customer to offer an earlier delivery; the customer may accept but this is not mandatory.

RUSH/PRIORITY SERVICE

Dutchiz is able to offer a priority service of 2 weeks, attracting a 50% surcharge on total order value. If you require your order in 2 weeks, please let us known during the order completion via email.

DELIVERY TIMES

Dutchiz is not be liable for delays or failure in delivery because a courier cannot gain access to the delivery address or because of circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

SHIPPING

Once your order is ready, Dutchiz will endeavour to send out all orders in 2-3 business days. Customers will be sent an email with tracking details once their order has been sent. Unfortunately, we cannot deliver to PO boxes. A person must be available at the specified shipping address to sign for delivery.

Deliveries are made using POSTNL. If no-one is available at the address specified when the deliver is attempted, your parcel will be returned to the POSTNL dispatch centre and a card left with details of how to arrange a re-delivery – we recommend the customer must make time allowance for this as a precaution.

RETURNS

We would appreciate your reason for returning the article, as it would help us to improve our service.

Once you have received our confirmation to return your order, you can send it back. Your order will need to arrive back within 14 days of receipt.

We recommend returning your parcel using “track and trace”, allowing you to trace your parcel and preventing possible disputes between sender and receiver. Costs and risks of returned or exchanged articles are with the customer.

After receiving your returned article we will refund the purchase price into your bank account within 7 days.

RISK AND PROPERTY

Dutchiz carries the risk of loss or damage to the products until you receive them.

ESSENTIAL CHECKS ON DELIVERY

An adult must be available at the address to carefully check the unwrapped product, sign and acknowledge receipt in a safe and satisfactory condition. 
Please report any defects immediately upon delivery to Dutchiz.

PRIVACY

The personal information that Dutchiz asks of you is confidential. Dutchiz will not give out or sell your email address, phone number, or credit card information to any other Companies or Institutions.

QUALITY OF GOODS

Every effort is made to ensure that the products that we supply correspond closely to the samples, images on the website, and any sales collateral. Unfortunately, due to variations in production runs, computer monitor screen differences and leather colour differences, Dutchiz can not accept responsibility for slight variations in colour, embellishment or construction; imperfections and variations which we believe add to the unique features of our products, and most importantly to that of our Bespoke offering.

As Dutchiz dog collars and leashes are hand-made to order and for that reason each and every item will always be slightly different, a truly one-off premium service.

The Buyer acknowledges that minor deviations, deviations that are generally considered acceptable and deviations that cannot be avoided or that are difficult to avoid in respect of the quality, size, colour, finishing, etc. of the Products cannot be avoided or are difficult to avoid and do not constitute a well founded reason to submit a complaint. Such complaints, and complaints regarding the fact that certain articles have been taken out of the product range, are not well founded. The Seller will not be liable for any damage that the Buyer sustains as a result of such complaints.

RETURNS

Every product is made to order therefore we are unable to accept returns unless faulty. 

We are unable to accept returns for change of mind, fit, colour, or differences in expectation. Please ensure sizes are chose carefully as we are not able to return or exchange sizes. 

If you have received your product and found it to be faulty please contact us immediately for assistance. 

Shipping charges are only refundable if your item(s) ordered were faulty and unworn. 

CANCELLATIONS

If a customer needs to amend or cancel an order they are entitled to do so at any time up to 24 hours after your order is confirmed. That is, after the deposit has been paid and confirmation email received.

If a customer attempts to amend or cancel an order more than 24 hours after confirmation, we reserve the right to hold the non-refundable deposit and charge any additional costs incurred in relation to the order.

Please contact us with marked subject “URGENT CANCELLATION” , please ensure the name, address, all product details are on the email.
